“Milano shines for its Fashon Week.
Which are the coolest places?”
Check it out with our little test!
Milan means fashion throughout the year; but during the Fashion Week the city shines in a particular way.
During the period of the shows, the town is home to people arriving from all over the world, setting the trends for the future months.
It is not uncommon to come across remarkable male and feminine examples, dressed up in fancy or elegant way.
Milano's Fashion Week is an opportunity to know the "cult" places of the city (more so if you actually live here!).
Unfortunately, the crowd of "business" tourists pours in the most popular places.
But the very best places are not always the best known: there is a continuous turnover of fancy venues.
However, bullet-proof places are just around the corner! How much do you know about new awsome locations? Test yourself: identify the places shown below (get hints moving the mouse over the small images) ...
TEST - Question 1: Ambience 800's style: columns, crystal chandeliers ...
... linen tablecloths. Opened 300 years ago (!), right in the city center: dishes of the best Italian (and Milanese) cuisine; excellent service.
When there are too many people around the Duomo, this restaurant is an excellent place to take refuge.
Of what precious place are we talking about?
TEST - Question 2: Japanese starred chef, passionate about Italian cuisine ...
Milan has yet another starred restaurant: the logo tells the name of the Japanese chef who conceived the restaurant, but the dishes on the menu are not those of the typical Japanese restaurant.
The recipes have an Italian style, revisited with creativity and skill (or, as he says, "contaminated") using techniques from the Japanese cuisine.
What restaurant are we talking about?
TEST - Question 3: the octagon is at the center of Duomo's Galleria, but not just there...
This lounge is a magic place. It has an octagonal plan, and is topped by a glass dome (in this way, customers can
admire the internal facade of the building). It's a quiet place, appreciated by VIPs. Coffee is served with biscuits made by the pastry chef of the restaurant attached. Cocktails and snacks are prepared flawlessly.
Can you tell what is the name of this beautiful hotel?
TEST - Question 4: tea room in original art nouveau style
The image on the right shows a statue and a ceiling designed in art nouveau style. These two elements characterize an attractive lounge bar, a real "hidden" gem in the city center.
This elegant place is ideal for the afternoon tea, or for an aperitif done as it should.
Have you identified the place we are talking about?
